Red Deer Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation

The city of Red Deer has a population of under 100,000 people and is located north of Calgary and south of Edmonton. The city has a long history with drug problems, because of its close proximity to Edmonton and Calgary, and the nature of the booming oil industry that once was in Alberta. The problems that plague the city include crack cocaine addiction, cocaine abuse, alcohol abuse, and within the past couple of year's fentanyl, which has compounded the problem with pain medication abuse. Drug and alcohol treatment services in the city include multiple outpatient programs, traditional and medical detox centers, youth treatment programs, aftercare services and numerous locations where twelve-step meetings are held.
