Crytal meth Withdrawal
Crystal Meth is a psychostimulant, and will cause severe long term effects to the user. Most crystal meth users experience an intense euphoria, making this drug highly addictive. Because of the chemicals used to make the drug, it will become very physically destructive to the user.
The withdrawals and symptoms associated with crystal meth will differ from user to user. It will depend on the amount, length of time, and frequency of use. The following symptoms can last up to 48 hours after the user has stopped:
- Physical and mental cravings
- Exhaustion
- Depression
- Mental confusion
- Restlessness
- Insomnia
- Deep disturbed sleep
Crystal meth can become life threatening for heavy and continuous users. This type of use will increase their risk of psychosis, physical, and mental damage. When they abruptly stop use, the following symptoms will take place:
- Fatigue
- Long disturbed periods of sleep
- Irritability
- Intense hunger
- Moderate to severe depression
- Anxiety
- Psychoactive reactions
These symptoms can last between 7 to 14 days; however, can sometimes last longer with heavier users. Carefully monitored in a drug rehab program, or drug detox program, the user can successfully get through the withdrawal symptoms.
