Types of treatments

Twelve step drug rehab centers: The Twelve Step tradition is a time tested methodology of recovery from various obsessive-compulsive behaviors which the affected persons believe have made their lives unmanageable.  These simple tools for living have been used by millions of people to successfully change their lives, and recover from negative and even life threatening behaviors.  They are based on a set of Spiritual (unreligious) principles originally created by AA in the U.S in 1935.  Anonymity as a spiritual principle is the underpinning of the Twelve-Step way of life.  Sharing and supporting in groups with like-minded persons and ongoing fellowship is a main ingredient in the success of the program.

The twelve steps address different problems such as, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, overeating abuse, and gambling addiction.

Long term religious based Drug rehab centers

Faith based long term drug rehabs are designed to get the person out of their environment and to get them into a hard work camp with a religious concept allowing the person to get back in contact with god. A small percentage of individuals complete this type of program.

Behavioral modification Drug rehab centers

These programs are based on trying to break the person mentally. The idea is to break their character through peer pressure, and it also relies on telling the person they are bad and degrading as an individual. The concept is to break the spirit into something that can be rebuilt. Sometimes it works, as a small percentage will rebuild into a harmless person.

Biophysical treatment Drug rehab centers

Biophysical drug rehab centers address the biophysical and biochemical imbalances with a unique sauna program, which eliminates toxins from the body, and eliminates drug cravings. This type of program also uses a social educational model to teach new life skills, which will develop a person to be able to tackle life’s many hardships and come out on top. The skills include learning to communicate properly, learning about personalities and the traits of each one. The patient will also be able to associate better with honest and ethical people. A large component is the ability to live life based on ones personal views, but within the morals of society.

The person applies these skills to repair the damage of the things that are holding them back in life. The things that quite often form earlier in life also needs to be repaired so they can live a happy and drug free life.  The final stage is made specifically for the individual and it is made after the case supervisor has been able to see what that individual needs to work on specifically to ensure their success.  This method is successful with many drug rehab centers and addicts. It brings the person to be a happy, productive, and drug free member of society.

Brampton

Brampton is a city in the Greater Toronto Area in the province of Ontario, and is part of Peel Region. As of the 2006 census, Brampton's population was at 433,806. As one of Canada's fastest growing municipalities, the city has found it difficult to cope with such expansion, in terms of the provision of proper public infrastructure and services. It celebrated its sesquicentennial anniversary in 2003, marking 150 years since its incorporation as a village in 1853, taking its name from the rural town of Brampton, Cumbria, England.  Brampton was once called as The Flowertown of Canada, a title it earned due to the city's large greenhouse industry, which included Dale's Flowers, a company that won several international rose awards for close to a half of a century.

The city is home to Canadian Forces Army Reserve unit The Lorne Scots.
